Privacy Policy
How the Iris application (also presented as “One Strike Realm” / “一击剑域”) handles information. We built Iris to respect your privacy — here is exactly what that means.
- Iris is designed for privacy: it is a single-player, offline game with no account, no ads, and no cross-app tracking.
- Your gameplay, progress, and settings stay on your device — we do not upload them.
- We may collect limited diagnostic data (such as crash reports) only where necessary to improve the game.
- Your rights under California, Canadian, Singaporean, and Australian privacy law are set out in Section 11.
01Introduction & Our Approach
This Privacy Policy describes how the developer and operator of Iris (“Iris”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with the Iris mobile application (the “App”).
Our guiding principle is simple: collect as little as possible, keep everything local by default, and never monetize your data. Iris is a standalone, single-player game. We do not require you to create an account, we do not sell advertising, and we do not use your data to build profiles or track you across other apps or websites.
This Policy should be read together with our User Agreement. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
02Information We Collect
We categorize the information associated with the App as follows. In the current release, the App collects no personal information that directly identifies you (such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location), unless you choose to contact us by email.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera content, payment details, or any identifier used to track you across third-party apps or websites.
03How We Use Information
We use information only for the following limited purposes:
- To operate the App. Local gameplay data is used solely to run the game on your device (saving progress, settings, and statistics).
- To provide support. If you contact us, we use your email address and message to respond to your inquiry.
- To improve the App. Aggregated or anonymized diagnostic data helps us identify and fix bugs, improve performance, and understand general usage patterns.
- To comply with legal obligations and to protect the security and integrity of the App and our systems.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
04On-Device Storage
Iris stores your gameplay data locally using standard on-device storage mechanisms (such as the device's local file storage or UserDefaults). This includes your progress, personal bests, unlocked collection items, and settings preferences.
You can clear this data at any time from the App's settings (the “Reset local data” option), or by deleting the App from your device. Resetting or deleting is irreversible and will erase your progress. We do not keep a copy of this data, so we cannot restore it once it has been removed.
05Analytics & Crash Reporting
In the current release, Iris does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs and does not request tracking permission (such as Apple's App Tracking Transparency). We do not build advertising profiles or link your activity to identifiers used by other companies.
If, in a future update, we introduce crash reporting or anonymous analytics to improve stability and gameplay balance, we will:
- describe the specific data collected, its purpose, and how long it is retained in an updated version of this Policy;
- obtain any consent required by applicable law before enabling such collection; and
- provide an in-app setting to disable optional diagnostics where feasible.
Any analytics we use would be limited to aggregate or anonymized technical data and would not be used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
06Advertising & Tracking
Iris currently contains no third-party advertising and no cross-app or cross-site tracking. We do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not request or rely on tracking permission to operate the App.
If advertising were ever introduced in a future version, we would update this Policy in advance, provide appropriate notice and choice, and comply with the applicable requirements of the regions in which the App is distributed.
07Third-Party Services
The App is distributed through the official app store platform for your device (for example, the Apple App Store). The platform provider may collect information about your download, installation, and use of the App under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Please review the privacy policy of the platform from which you download the App.
Apart from the distribution platform, the current release of Iris does not rely on third-party SDKs that process your personal information. If we add any third-party service in the future, we will list it in this section and explain what it does.
08Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address in Section 14 and we will take steps to delete that information.
Because the App does not require an account and stores gameplay data only on the device, it is designed not to collect personal information from any user, including children.
09Data Retention
- On-device gameplay data remains on your device until you reset it within the App or delete the App.
- Support communications (your email and message) are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and close your inquiry, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Diagnostic data, if collected, is retained in aggregated or anonymized form for as long as needed for the stated analytical purposes and then deleted or de-identified.
10Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any information we do handle from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Because Iris stores your gameplay data locally on your device, the security of that data also depends on the security of your device. We recommend using a device passcode and keeping your operating system up to date.
11Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain legal rights regarding your personal information. Because Iris collects so little personal information, exercising these rights is usually simple — and most of them can be handled on your device (by resetting data or deleting the App) or by contacting us.
🇺🇸United States — California (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect about you, to delete it, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise any applicable right, contact us at hualristml@163.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
🇨🇦Canada (PIPEDA)
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to access the personal information an organization holds about you and to request correction where it is inaccurate. You may withdraw consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Contact us to make a request, and we will respond within the time frames required by law.
🇸🇬Singapore (PDPA)
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), you may request access to your personal data held by us, request correction of errors or omissions, and withdraw consent to our use of your personal data. We will process such requests in accordance with the PDPA and may need to verify your identity before responding.
🇦🇺Australia (Privacy Act / APPs)
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You may also make a complaint about how we have handled your personal information. We will respond to access and correction requests within a reasonable period, normally 30 days.
🌏Other Jurisdictions
If you are located in a jurisdiction not listed above, you may have additional rights under your local privacy or data-protection law. Please contact us and we will honor applicable rights to the extent required by law.
12International Data Transfers
Iris is a global application and we may operate across multiple jurisdictions. To the extent we process personal information (for example, when you email our support team), it may be transferred to, and processed in, a country other than your country of residence.
Where such transfers occur, we take steps to ensure the information receives an adequate level of protection, including by relying on appropriate safeguards and complying with the applicable data-transfer requirements of the jurisdictions involved.
13Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective” date at the top of this Policy and, where reasonably practicable, notify you through the App or its store listing.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after the updated Effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree to the changes, please stop using the App.
